One year after...

I finally found a way to upload my pictures much faster, without the blog interface where I can only upload pictures one by one. I use the Google Picasa app now. I wish I knew it before, it would have saved me many hours of uploading in internet cafes.

Here's my photos of South Island and the stopover in Chicago on my way back. I will write comments soon.

Because I can only upload up to 500 photos per album and the first one is almost full, here's my last 100 photos.

Finally, here's the fan video I made for Chris at Back To Nature Tours in Dunedin, on the South Island. He said he would put it up on the company's website but he hasn't updated it yet.

NZ 2008-03-09

Because I wanted to get a few shots of the kitchen at Downtown Backpackers, I missed the Kiwi Experience bus going to the harbour so I had to take a taxi.

The kitchen at Downtown was one of the best in all the backpackers I've visited. Everything was clean (thank you Cambodian housekeeping) and the fridge was one full room. A premium cashew butter was stolen from my bag one time but that's all that's been stolen from me. Even though there are no cameras people are honest, and most wash their dishes.

The ferry going to South Island...

Here's my friend Gean whom I've met later in Queenstown. He was working as a chef in an hotel in Queeny (Kings Gate I think). Because I told him I could not find coconut milk anywhere - I wanted to cook coconut rice after tasting that in the kitchen at Novotel - I followed him to a cool asian market in Newtown (I think), inside Wellington. I bought Ala's Delicious Premium Coconut Cream Pee Pee.
